Mola is built so that your personal data stays yours. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, and no developer-run database. Your blocks, schedules, and break history stay on your phone — we never see them.

Where your data lives

Everything Mola creates — your schedules, your break history, and your preferences — is stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud it can sync privately through your own iCloud database, protected by your Apple ID. We have no access to it, no copy of it, and no server of our own. If you are not signed into iCloud, everything simply stays on the device.

Screen Time stays sealed inside Apple

Mola uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework with your permission, for your own device only — "individual" authorization, never guardian or child controls. The apps and categories you choose to shield are represented by opaque tokens that Mola itself cannot read: even we cannot see which specific apps you picked, and your raw screen-time usage never leaves Apple's sandbox. Mola only applies and removes shields. We literally cannot see your screen time.

Anonymized usage analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used in aggregate (for example, "how many breaks were started today"). TelemetryDeck is a privacy-first service: data is anonymized before it reaches us, it cannot be used to identify you, and it is never sold or shared. Mola does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites.

Subscriptions

Payments are processed entirely by Apple. To manage subscription status we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase receipt — never your name, email, or Apple ID. We do not see your payment details.

Notifications & Live Activities

Break reminders and the Live Activity countdown are handled locally on your device. They do not involve any server.

What we never do

• No selling or sharing of personal data — we don't have it in the first place.
• No ads, no third-party trackers, no cross-app tracking.
• No health or medical data collection. Mola is a digital wellbeing tool, not a medical device.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control: deleting the app removes all of it and lifts every shield Mola set. If you have questions about this policy or your rights under GDPR, KVKK, or similar laws, contact us and we will help.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
